Set amidst a vast area of coffee plantation is this bungalow, which belongs to the British era. The building had undergone a lot of additions and modification, which has adulterated the original style and plan of the building. Our office is working on the restoration of it’s grandeur.
In terms of the spaces, the verandas were made more open and continuous like originally planned; an outdoor fireplace, a glass room overlooking the lush greenery, private courtyards and gazebos were planned.
Terracotta flooring, ornate furniture and lighting, usage of natural materials, elaborate and extensive usage of timber in ceilings, beams, door architraves, wall panels, chimneys – were also designed and infused into the existing interiors – which contributes towards bringing back the identity of the bungalow.
